Metro Diner Jacksonville, NC, opened in March of 2023. Since then, this new local favorite has become a go-to spot for breakfast all day, lunch favorites, and homestyle dinner cooking.
Ask a regular what they recommend and they're likely to mention our famous Fried Chicken & Waffles, classic Bissell Breakfast platter, hearty Steak & Scramble Bowl (pictured), or our fried Fish & Chips (available at a special price every Friday!). But we've got something for everyone!

"The food is fresh and delicious. Their sweet tea is decent when mixed with light ice. I have tried the avocado breakfast bowl, and the shrimp and grits that I added 2 scrambled eggs on top. My son tried the Breakfast burger and he was very happy with it. I highly recommend you trying here if your looking for a good clean place to eat. Update: still highly recommend this Restaurant, I tried the Fried Chicken Benedict this visit and it is very good. Also the service is still fast and friendly here.
