Metro Diner to open second Tulsa location in May

The Metro Diner is opening a second Tulsa location.

The restaurant is scheduled to open in early May in the Tulsa Hills Shopping Center.

The Metro Diner, a Jacksonville, Florida-based chain serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, opened its first area location in December inside the former Baker Street Pub location at 6620 S. Memorial Drive.

The restaurant’s menu includes comfort foods like fried chicken and waffles, meatloaf, Charleston shrimp and grits and the pulled pork mac stack — a half pound of barbecue pork piled on macaroni and cheese served with a cornbread waffle topped with maple butter.

Metro Diner has more than 60 locations in Alabama, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Virginia. The restaurant chain has been featured on Food Network’s “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives,” and host Guy Fieri highlighted its meatloaf, steak salad and stuffed French toast.
