Our History
Metro Diner’s story began in 1938 when the building that would become the first location opened in Jacksonville, Florida. Officially branded in 1992, Metro Diner quickly became the go-to local restaurant for comforting classics and reimagined favorites.
Today, Metro Diner has over 60 locations in 12 states. Our bold and innovative menu offerings, like our Iron City Meatloaf, have resulted in a feature on Guy Fieri’s Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives and a number of awards for its innovative comfort food

We are open for most holidays including Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, New Year’s Eve, and New Year’s Day. We are closed Christmas Day. Even if we are open on a holiday, we may close early. Please be sure to confirm holiday hours with your local Diner
